G.R.E.A.N. has been a club for a long time and a lot of great people helped keep it running over the years. Here are some of them:
President: Julia Grosvenor
From Kirkland, Washington, Julia is studying Communication and Environmental Studies. She became president sophomore year when she was the single remaining club member, and for a year was the only G.R.E.A.N. president on record to not be declared as an Environmental Studies major. She is passionate about public awareness and involvement with environmental issues and sustainable technology. She thinks hiking is just ok and prefers to do something purposeful if she is outside, like dumpster diving (she’s only done it once, but she got a nice lamp). She loves asking people what their favorite TV show is and having the longest bio.
Vice Presidents: Susan Schowalter, Emily Burk (Part-time)
From Rochester, Minnesota, Susan is majoring in [Julia G does not know]. She became a member of G.R.E.A.N. her during the fall of her first year at PLU in 2016. During her first year she also planned a sustainable cooking class all by herself and it was so great!! [According to Julia G] she probably likes skiing.
From [near D.C., Maryland I think???], Emily is majoring in [everything, but one of the things is Environmental Studies] and minoring in [other things; Economics and English maybe]. She first got involved with G.R.E.A.N. during her first year, but it didn’t fit into her busy schedule until her sophomore year, so she made up for that by becoming vice president. [According to Julia G] she enjoys running and jumping (she is on PLU’s track team) and watching bloopers from The Office. She will be studying away during fall 2017.

From Ventura, California, Jenna majored in Environmental Studies and minored in Nonprofit Leadership in 2016. She started getting involved with G.R.E.A.N. at the beginning of her Sophomore year at PLU, right after she transferred from Seattle Pacific University. She is very passionate about environmental issues regarding energy use/sources and environmental justice. She loves hiking, skiing, backpacking and going to concerts.
Vice President: Bailey Smith
From Blaine, Washington, Bailey majored in Environmental Studies and minored in Sociology and graduated in May 2016. She is interested in the intersection of social justice and environmental practices. Bailey joined G.R.E.A.N. her freshman year and received a Sustainability Fellowship surrounding food access and sustainability in 2014. She enjoys hiking, crafting, and going to concerts.
